Spirit of Carnival Skills Training Programme – Carnival Season 2024

This six week community outreach programme in collaboration with the East Port of Spain Development Company balanced cultural confidence with skill building. The aim of this programme is to engage residents of the East Port of Spain community in various aspects of Carnival organising and management. Upon completion, participants were integrated into different production and event teams for Kambule 2024 where they received first hand experience using the skills and knowledge they gained during the programme.

The programme focused on the History of Trinidad Carnival and the various art forms as well as crucial skills such as team building, communication, planning skills and social/life skills.
